HTML is the standard markup language for creating Web pages. Every website you've ever visited is build with HTML code.HTML code is used to Build and structure web pages.

HTML consists of a series of elements
HTML elements tell the browser how to display the content
HTML elements label pieces of content such as "this is a heading", "this is a paragraph", "this is a link", etc.
HTML code is based on TAGS.
Elements like buttons, text, and images are added to web pages with different tags. Tags use angle brackets <>.

The angle brackets <> surround the name of the elements you want to add to the page.

What is an HTML Element?
An HTML element is defined by a start tag, some content, and an end tag:
<tagname> Content goes here... </tagname>The HTML element is everything from the start tag to the end tag:
<h1>My First Heading</h1><p>My first paragraph.</p>
Start tag <h1>Element content(first heading) </h1> end tag
Start tag <p>Element content(paragraph) </p> end tag
<br> none content and no end tag
Note: Some HTML elements have no content (like the <br> element). These elements are called empty elements. Empty elements do not have an end tag!
Web Browsers
The purpose of a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) is to read HTML documents and display them correctly.
A browser does not display the HTML tags, but uses them to determine how to display the document:
